Clara Estelle Nichols... finally here!

So, the day finally came. Here are some pictures from her big debut! :) Twenty minutes after birth her Daddy called thinking we had been home and gotten a good night's rest. Boy, was he surprised! So, at 9:54 am, on March 15th the beautiful being came into the world. On her medical records it states that she was delivered "through summersault" and she was 8 lbs 10 oz. It was a great day that seems so surreal now, a week later. It's hard to believe. Sorry I didn't post sooner, but... i've been a little busy! (as you can imagine) But, I will be posting more here in a little bit.

Clara Estelle Day 2 and 3 :)

I finally (took 3 days) got out my camera :) I've been working on recovering instead of making artwork... the best piece of artwork was born on March 15h!! Welcome to the world.... we love you!

I love these little girls :) Sara and I had fun taking photos... even though Lexie was a little cranky with me... figures, she slept for hours after she left the house... never fails :) But, I think we got a few that were fun :)

Busy busy.. learning new things.

So, I have been very busy learning new trades... here's what I've been learning.. :)

This is my very first quilt I made for Clara, it matches her stroller and is lined on the opposite side with minky.. :)

This Giraffe I knitted... it was my second attempt at making animals with needles. I made a rabbit for my niece who is due to be born in May... but, the giraffe I think I will keep for our house... the rocking chair he is sitting in is a chair I found next to a dumpster, gave it a good wash down and a new pad and wahhhh lahhhH!!! A brand new glider/rocker for the house! YAY...

originally I was going to give my giraffe boy away, but he likes his life here on hickory street... so, I think he's our newest addition to the family. :)

retro toys...

For Clara's shower her Fairy Godmothers bought her a new Heart to Heart bear. When I was young, I had a bear and Cindy was able to find one on ebay for me that was from the original box!!!!

The other retro gift she got was a pair of glo worms!!! :) Shes one very spoiled little girl!

Lu-dog..

OHHHHH Luna.. :) My faithful companion. She LOVES her backyard! Some days she won't come in! She just lays out there and bathes in the sun.

Clara's Camellias and Kris' Flag

I teased everyone that when we moved into this house that the flowers would bloom to welcome Clara home. :) Well, the backyard one is blooming but the side yard where Clara's window is... is all still buds.

Kris really wanted an American flag up on th house and Juergen got it mounted. What a beautiful corner to have the flag on, we get lots of wind off the bay.
