I had the opportunity to meet up with Ashley during one of the busiest weeks of her life. Get her all dressed up and make beautiful things with her. How much fun was this? Soooo much fun! You're beautiful Momma.. Can you believe this woman has had 5 kids? works two jobs to support them as a nurse? as well as goes to school working towards her second degree? Such a strong woman!

Megan and Byrne Klay

So, portfolio review has come and gone, and now it's time for the real fun stuff. I've finally made some progress on getting the weddings edited and sent out that I have been working on. Here's a few from Megan and Byrne's wedding that I liked the best. There were so many, it was hard! The wedding took place in a Charleston Theatre so it was super dark and very hard to photograph. The decorations and style were sort of Tim Burton-esque. And instead of just a boring wedding singer or band or DJ, these folks (who are wonderful musicians themselves, check them out at www.meganjean.net) had three separate bands play. Holy Ghost Tent Revival closed the set and it felt like they played for over two hours, I'm not too sure, lost track of time running the photo booth. I was honored to be a part of your wedding, you guys are the best ever. and Trust me, everyone should laugh and cry at the altar, it was beautiful. And Byrne, your brother gave the best Best Man speech I have ever heard... thanks for inviting me into your family for the day.

Ten DAYS?!?

Whoa. SO.. it's been ten days since the last post, which is somewhat embarassing, you'd think I wasn't working or something, but... that's what ya get for thinking. :) Portfolio is due Thursday, and so I have been busy busy printing and getting eveyrthing ready for the portfolio review. So, here's some tidbits. Most of them, yes, you've seen before, some, maybe you haven't. And, either way. Here is a collection of some of the best work KT Nichols Photography has created. See they give a list of subjects: Action, photojournalism, portraits, etc. and then we have to submit a photo within those guidelines. so, here it is... the collection i have worked on for two years...

The McCormick Wedding...

So, today was the most beautiful day for a wedding... not to mention a reception that took place on a golf course overlooking the water... What a day.... So, wedding number 2 in a week... thousands of miles driven and lots of people that I met... here's another small piece of my life for you to see. Natalie and Patrick were a beautiful couple, and their wedding day was just as much fun as they were.

Berlin Parade

What a great day to celebrate 100 years of the Berlin Fire Department!! :) September 11th brought fire engines from Dundalk, Va. and all over Maryland to Berlin for the parade. And, Kyle was in the parade for Stephen Decatur High School's Marching Band. So much fun, and great weather for a parade.

The Enterprise pulled in on Thursday and Kris was actually able to celebrate his birthday with me :) Yay. So, we went shopping, drove lots of hours in the car and had lots of "us" time able to talk about our baby stuff and house things. So, we went and got a cake, and Joey put 24 candles on the cake "one for good luck" :) And then, they licked the candles... and Kris ate off the spatula.
